Transformation: Are We Ready?

April 3rd, 2008
8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Holiday Inn Harbourview
101 Wyse Road, Dartmouth

With the release of the Provincial Health Services Operational Review (PHSOR), many of us are feeling a heightened sense of urgency for system-wide transformation. But are we ready? Do we have the key ingredients for successful systemic change? Where can we see examples of this already taking shape in Nova Scotia? And how do we build bridges between sectors and stakeholders, to seize the opportunities for collaborative action and innovation?

Please join health, business and community leaders for a cross-sector conversation as we

  • create partnerships and pathways for innovative action
  • learn together about the nature of innovation in complex living systems
  • build our individual and collective capacity for the kind of transformation the PHSOR report is calling for

Guest speakers include

  • Cheryl Doiron, Deputy Minister of Health
  • Duff Montgomerie, Deputy Minister of Health Promotion and Protection
  • Margaret J. Wheatley, author of the ground-breaking Leadership and the New Science and other books, and co-founder of the Berkana Institute
